So okay, really, I didn't know what to take pictures of this time around. I promised pics in my last post, but I usually only take pictures of things I've been working on to show progress. Since I've been gone, however, I haven't MADE any progress. Everything's the same as it was when I left. So, I decided to just take some "overall" pictures. I got one of each corner of the tiny house from the outside.

I also took one of the inside. This pic was taken from my computer chair, so this is the view that I get when I turn.

And, for the Barney fans, I tried to take a picture of Barney. Barney's afraid of the camera, though, so he wasn't about to pose. I actually had to trick him into coming up to me by calling to him half a dozen times and waiting a good 20 minutes after getting the camera out of its case and turning it on. Of course, he went back into hiding immediately after the picture was taken. It isn't even a particularly good picture of him - he looks longer in the nose and bigger than he is in real life - but it's Barney nonetheless.

And, lastly, we have a video. Just like with the pictures, I really didn't know what to take a video of. I figured that, since most of my new hits were coming from Tumbleweed visitors, I should probably do a video about the differences between what I have and what the Tumbleweed plans show. I made a number of modifications, but this covers 3 of the fairly obvious ones.
So, naturally, I've got to ask - what is it you all want to see? I still plan on taking pictures whenever I make changes, but is there anything you want more pictures of that I've already done? More detail or clarifications on anything? And how about videos? There are a few other changes that I'm sure I could document, but is there anything in particular that someone wants me to make a video about? This is my home, after all, and I see it all the time. I take for granted the things I see here every day that I imagine some of you may be wondering about. If anyone wants more detail on anything, let me know.
Also, while I have your attention, I want to point y'all to Laura's Facebook Tiny House Group, Thing Big, Build Small - A Tiny House Community. Laura's building a tiny home of her own and figured that we tiny house peeps need a place on Facebook to share ideas and experiences. She just started this community up not too long ago (I joined as visitor #5) and it's been growing every day, so if you're interested or have anything to share, check it out! Does anyone know of any other Tiny House Facebook communities out there?

As for a list of tools, gosh... That would take a while! I know I used 2 screw guns - a driver and an impact, as well as a wide assortment of drill bits and driver bits. I also used a number of different saws - a reciprocating saw, a chop (mitre) saw, a jigsaw, and a circular saw. I borrowed a nail gun for the framing. I used a bullet level, a 2-foot level, and a 4-foot level.
I also had a hand torch, pliers, tin snips, various screwdrivers, pipe wrenches, regular wrenches, vice grips, ratchets and sockets, a prybar, a multimeter, channel-locks, wire cutters, a plex cutter, a pipe cutter, a roto-zip, a dremel, an oscillating tool, an oscillating sander, a wire stripper...
You know, I guess it did require a lot of tools! These are all just the tools that I had lying around that I came up with off of the top of my head. Many of them I probably didn't need, but I used because I had them (like my scroll saw, and my dad's table saw and his router) and because they'd make things easier. I'm sure if I spent more time, I could come up with many more tools.
Does it mean you need all of those tools to build one? No. But having the right tool DOES make the job go a lot quicker, easier, and makes it more tolerable. I'd check around with friends to see if anyone is a closet handyman and has a hoard of tools that you'd be able to use, because now that I think about it, that WOULD be quite an expense!
